Placetel telephone system connection

If you use a Placetel cloud telephone system, you can connect it to Mr. James. Whenever a call comes in, Mr. James shows it. You can then immediately see who of your existing contacts is calling and by clicking on them, you can directly open the contact's feed.

Placetel's connection works via Placetel's “Notify API”. This is how the setup works:

1. Determine team number and user ID

To set up the connection, you first need the team number and user ID from Mister James. To do this, open the settings and click on “Info.” You can then find these two values here:

2. Install Notify API

Then log in to the customer area at Placetel. From there, click on “AppStore.” Here is a list of available apps for the Placetel telephone system. Search for the “Notify API” app here and click on “Book Now.”

You will now be taken to the Notify API settings.

3. Configure Notify API

There, first activate the check mark “Activate Call Control/Notify API”. Then enter the following URL under the URL of your API endpoint:

https://help.mister-james.com/_utalic_release/thirdparty/placetel/TEAM/USERID

However, replace the word “TEAM” with the team number determined in the first step and “USERID” with the user ID that you received in the first step.

4. Save settings

Once you have entered this information, activate the check mark next to the phone number for which you would like to receive the call notification. Then click “Save My API Endpoint” to save the settings.
